well i'm living in seattle for the summer. big fat WO0T! ya! i'm very excited to be here. got in last friday so basicly i've been here for a week. i went to go see the circus de soleil, which was SPECTACULAR. i went not knowing what to expect and came away completely impressed. and i went to Folklife, a indie music festival held in the seattle center. that was AMAZING too. huuuuge amount of music, of all sorts. street vendors eeeevry where selling cool things or really yummy food. there was some not so yummy food too but you know, you live and learn. got some fun jewelry there, including my engagement ring! lol thats another thing, i got engaged! isn't life random?
so now... i went job hunting on craigslist on monday, set up 2 interviews on tuesday, went to them, got hired for fucking BOTH of them and started working yesterday. the one i started yesterday is for Grassroots Campaign Inc. its an independent organization that does strategic consulting, fundraising, and field organizing for causes and candidates. we've been hired by the DNC, democratic national comity for this presidential campaign. basically that means i'm being paid to go around neighborhoods asking for money for the DNC. i'm not really sure if it something i want to do all summer... even though it pays pretty well....
anyway the second job is working as a check-in agent for Gateway Guest Services. They are a firm that handles cruise ships that leave form seattle. so for this job i dress up all in a professional uniform and swipe passports and credit cards. XD i think i will like this job alot better the one for the DNC. :0 shocking, i know.
anyway, i have to be on a bus at 7.42, which means i'm waking up at 6.15 tomorrow morning... to be on the water front at 8.30 to learn how to be a check-in agent... so i'm off to bed now. wish me luck!
